product Description
Chromogenic UTI Agar is a selective and differential medium used for the rapid identification and confirmation of urinary tract pathogens. It contains chromogenic substrates that react with specific bacterial enzymes, allowing different organisms to be distinguished by the color of their colonies. This enhances speed and accuracy in microbial diagnosis, especially in clinical laboratories processing urine specimens.
Formulated for high performance, this medium facilitates the identification of E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Enterococcus, and other uropathogens within 18–24 hours. The color-coded colony growth makes it easier for lab personnel to interpret results without the need for additional biochemical tests.
