The ACCURATE Rapid Card Test – Fecal Occult Blood (FOB) is an immunochemical assay designed to detect hidden blood in fecal samples. This test is useful for screening gastrointestinal conditions such as colorectal cancer, polyps, and gastrointestinal ulcers that may cause internal bleeding without visible symptoms.
How It Works:
The test device contains antibodies specific to human hemoglobin. When a fecal sample containing occult blood is applied with the provided buffer solution, the hemoglobin binds to these antibodies, producing a visible colored line in the test area within minutes.
